How to Draw a Puffer Vest
Draw a puffer vest in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the puffy body.
Step 1: The puffy body
Draw a vest with a V neck, a scooped armhole under each shoulder and bulgy sides to a flat bottom.
Tip A puffer vest is stuffed so it bulges out between the stitched lines.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Just below the middle of the vest draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile, and a small flat oval cheek beside each end of the smile.
Step 4: The collar
Start at the left shoulder. Draw a collar bump up and over, down to the V. Same on the right.
Step 5: Quilt lines
Draw 3 lines side to side: one a little under the armholes, one just above the face, one below it.
Step 6: The zip
From the V draw a straight zip down to the first line, with a small tab at the top.
Step 7: Hem band
Along the bottom of the vest draw a flat box for the hem band, as wide as the vest.
Step 8: Ground line
Draw a straight ground line along the bottom of the hem, from one side of the paper to the other.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw a little sparkle in the air beside each shoulder.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Orange vest
Colour the vest orange around the cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Navy collar and hem
Colour the two collar bumps and the hem band navy blue. Snug and warm!
