How to Draw a Saw
Draw a saw in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the blade.
Step 1: The blade
Start left of the middle. Draw a long line out to a blunt tip, then back left under your start.
Tip Wide at the handle end, narrow at the tip. Leave the left end open.
Step 2: The handle
Over the open left end draw a fat rounded handle, taller than the blade is wide.
Step 3: Happy face
On the blade near the handle draw 2 big round eyes with black dots, and a wide U smile.
Step 4: The teeth
From the handle, draw a zigzag of 10 pointy teeth along the bottom of the blade, ending at the tip.
Step 5: Handle hole
Inside the handle draw a tall pill with round ends, leaving a thick rim.
Step 6: Two screws
Where the handle meets the blade, draw a small circle near the top and one near the bottom.
Step 7: Rosy cheeks
Draw a small oval cheek out beside each end of the smile.
Step 8: A shine
On the blade near the tip, draw a small 4-point star for a shine.
Step 9: Ground and a plank
Draw a flat plank with its top touching the teeth. Add a small cut, 2 grain lines and the ground.
Step 10: Tan plank, peach cheeks
Colour the plank tan and the cheeks peach.
Step 11: Grey blade
Colour the blade and its teeth grey, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes and the shine white.
Step 12: Wooden handle
Colour the handle wood brown, leaving the hole white. Go over all your lines and your saw is done!
