How to Draw a Puerto Rico Map
Draw a puerto rico map in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the north coast.
Step 1: The north coast
Start on the left, above the middle. Draw a long, nearly flat line to the right. Stop near the side.
Tip Puerto Rico is an island shaped like a long box lying on its side.
Step 2: The east end
Carry on from there. Turn the corner and draw the coast down, slanting back to the left. Stop there.
Step 3: The south coast
Carry on to the left. Draw a long, gently bumpy line back along the bottom. Stop under your start.
Step 4: The west end
From there draw up, with a bump poking out to the left. Stop where your first line began.
Step 5: A long island
Just off the east end, low down, draw a small island like a long thin oval.
Tip This island is called Vieques.
Step 6: A tiny island
Above the long island, draw a tiny oval island. This one is called Culebra.
Step 7: The mountains
Along the middle of the big island, draw 3 little triangle mountains in a row.
Step 8: The capital
Near the top coast, right of the middle, draw a small circle for the capital city, San Juan.
Step 9: Blue sea
Go over your lines. Colour the sea light blue, all around the 3 islands, out to the edges.
Step 10: Green land
Colour the big island and both small islands green, around the mountains and the circle.
Step 11: Brown and red
Colour the 3 mountains brown and the capital red. Your map of Puerto Rico is done!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a puerto rico map, drawn by you.
