How to Draw a Prize Wheel
Draw a prize wheel in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the wheel.
Step 1: The wheel
In the middle of your paper draw one big round circle. This is the wheel.
Tip Leave room under it for the stand and a little room on top.
Step 2: The rim
Inside it draw a second circle, a little smaller, all the way round.
Step 3: The hub
Right in the middle draw a small circle. The wheel spins round it.
Step 4: Four lines
From the small circle draw 4 lines out to the inner circle, like a plus sign that tips a little.
Tip Each line is straight across from another one.
Step 5: Eight slices
In the middle of each gap draw 1 more line from the small circle out to the inner circle.
Tip Count 8 slices, all the same size.
Step 6: Four stars
Draw a star in the top slice, the bottom slice, the left slice and the right slice.
Tip A star has 5 points. Skip a slice between stars.
Step 7: Pegs
On the rim, at the end of every line, draw a dot for a peg. That makes 8 pegs.
Step 8: The post top
Start on top of the wheel. Draw a small box standing up, and stop back on the wheel.
Step 9: The pointer
On the box draw a triangle flap pointing down. Its tip stops on the rim.
Tip Rub out the lines inside the flap.
Step 10: The stand
Under the wheel draw a short post down to a wide foot. Draw a ground line under the foot.
Step 11: Yellow and orange
Colour the top right slice, the bottom left slice and the hub yellow. Colour the rim orange around the pegs.
Step 12: Green and grey
Colour the top left slice and the bottom right slice green. Colour the post and the foot grey.
Step 13: Red and blue
Colour the top and bottom slices and the pointer red, and the side slices blue. Leave the stars white.
