How to Draw a Princess Knight

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a princess knight in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the face.

Print

  1. Step 1: The face

In the upper middle of your page draw an egg for the face, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave room above for the helmet and crown, and most of the page below for the body.

  2. Step 2: Eyes and smile

Draw 2 big round eyes across the middle of the face. Add a tiny nose and a smile.

  3. Step 3: The helmet

Draw a big rounded helmet all the way round the face, with a wider gap at the top.

  4. Step 4: Visor and crown

Above the face draw a curved visor band with 3 bars. On top of the helmet draw a 3-point crown.

Tip The visor is pushed up so everyone can see her smile.

  5. Step 5: Two plaits

Under the helmet draw 2 bumpy plaits hanging down, each ending in a tuft. Add 2 slanted lines across each.

  6. Step 6: Chest and belt

Behind the plaits draw the chest: rounded shoulders under the helmet, sides sloping in, and a belt across the waist.

  7. Step 7: Arms

From under each shoulder draw an arm down, bending at the elbow. Add a round plate on each elbow.

  8. Step 8: Mitten gloves

At the end of each arm draw a cuff, then a mitten glove with a thumb on the inside.

  9. Step 9: The skirt

Under the belt draw a short skirt, wider at the bottom, with a curved hem.

  10. Step 10: Legs and feet

Under the skirt draw 2 legs with a round plate on each knee. Add rounded feet and a ground line.

  11. Step 11: Shield and heart

Under the right glove draw a shield standing on the ground: flat top, pointed bottom. Add a heart.

Tip Her glove rests on the top corner of the shield. No sword needed!

  12. Step 12: Peach face, gold crown

Colour the face peach and leave the eyes white. Colour the crown and the belt yellow.

  13. Step 13: Pink and purple

Colour the skirt and the heart pink. Colour the shield purple around the heart and the glove.

  14. Step 14: Grey armour, brown plaits

Colour the helmet, chest, arms, gloves, legs and feet grey. Colour the 2 plaits brown.

Tip Press lightly with the grey so the armour looks shiny.
