How to Draw a Pool
Draw a pool in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pool.
Step 1: The pool
In the middle of your paper draw a big soft box, wider than tall, with round corners.
Step 2: The rim
Inside the big box draw a second soft box a finger in from the edge. That is the rim.
Step 3: Ladder rails
Near the top right, start in the water and draw 2 lines up. Curl them over the rim and stop.
Step 4: Ladder rungs
Join the 2 rails with 3 short straight rungs, one under the other.
Step 5: Beach ball
On the left of the water draw a round ball, about as big as a plum.
Step 6: Ball stripes
On the ball draw 2 curved lines from the top to the bottom, one bowing left and one bowing right.
Step 7: Swim ring
Near the bottom right of the water draw a flat oval swim ring with a small oval hole inside.
Step 8: Ripples
On the water draw 4 short curved ripple lines here and there.
Step 9: Splashes
At the top right of the ball draw 2 little teardrop splashes, points up and out.
Step 10: Stone grey rim
Colour the rim stone grey.
Step 11: Yellow and red toys
Colour the ball's sides and the swim ring yellow, then the middle stripe of the ball red.
Step 12: Blue water
Go over your lines, then colour the water blue, around the ball, ring and ladder. Ready to swim!

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a pool, drawn by you.
