How to Draw a Plunger

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a plunger in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: rubber cup.

Print

  1. Step 1: Rubber cup

Low on your paper, draw a bell: short flat top, wide flat bottom, sides flaring out like a skirt.

  2. Step 2: The lip

Start at the bell's bottom left corner. Draw a thin flat rim underneath and stop at the right corner.

  3. Step 3: Two big eyes

Draw 2 big egg eyes on the bell, just below the middle. Put a big black dot in each.

  4. Step 4: Smile and cheeks

Under the eyes draw a U smile. Add a small oval cheek beside each end of the smile.

  5. Step 5: The handle

From the top of the bell, draw a tall thin stick straight up: 2 lines close together.

Tip Keep the 2 lines the same distance apart all the way up.

  6. Step 6: The knob

On top of the stick draw a small flat oval, a bit wider than the stick.

  7. Step 7: Sparkles

Add 3 little 4-point sparkles in the air around the handle.

  8. Step 8: The ground

Start near the left edge. Draw a ground line along the lip's bottom and stop near the right edge.

  9. Step 9: Pink cheeks

Go over your lines, then colour the cheeks pink.

  10. Step 10: Wooden handle

Colour the stick and the knob wood brown.

  11. Step 11: Red rubber

Colour the bell and lip red, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Your plunger is ready for action!
