How to Draw a Pixel Dog
Draw a pixel dog in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: top of the head.
Step 1: Top of the head
Start low on the left. Go up and over the top in little square steps. Stop low on the right.
Tip No curves at all: only up, down and across.
Step 2: The chin
Start at the right end. Step in, up, down to a flat chin. Step back up to the left end.
Step 3: Two square eyes
Draw 2 square eyes in the middle of the head. Put a black square in each, leaving a white corner.
Step 4: Little block nose
Under the eyes, in the middle, draw a small flat block for the nose, twice as wide as tall.
Step 5: Smile and tongue
A little below the nose, draw a blocky U smile. Hang 1 little square under the middle for the tongue.
Step 6: Floppy ears
Start at the little step on each side of the head. Go across, then straight down to the notch.
Step 7: A spot
Above the right eye, draw one little square for a spot of darker fur.
Step 8: Floating squares
Near the top corners of the head, draw 2 little squares floating in the air, 1 on each side.
Step 9: Floor line
Under the chin, draw a straight floor line, starting left of the head and stopping right of it.
Step 10: Yellow and pink
Go over your lines. Colour the 2 floating squares yellow and the tongue pink.
Step 11: Ginger face
Colour the face ginger around the tongue. Leave the eyes white, and skip the ears, nose and spot.
Step 12: Brown ears, black nose
Colour the ears and the spot brown, and the nose black. Your blocky dog is done!
