How to Draw a Brussels Sprout
Draw a Brussels sprout in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the sprout.
Step 1: The sprout
In the middle draw a big round ball, as big as your fist.
Step 2: Two big eyes
In the middle draw 2 big egg eyes side by side. Colour a big black dot in each.
Tip Leave a clear gap round each eye; nothing else touches them.
Step 3: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye, and a small oval cheek at each end.
Step 4: Left leaf
Swing a leaf from the bottom left up round the side to a round tip near the top, and back.
Tip The leaf hugs the ball like a cupped hand, with a soft round tip.
Step 5: Right leaf
Do the same on the right, from the bottom right up round the side to a round tip, and back.
Step 6: Leaf on top
Between the 2 leaf tips draw a small round leaf peeking over the top, with a gentle curve under it.
Step 7: Leaf veins
Draw one bowed line down the middle of each side leaf, from near the tip to near the bottom.
Step 8: A little stem
Under the ball draw a short stubby stem: down on the left, across, and back up on the right.
Step 9: The ground
Draw the ground line from the left edge to the right edge, just touching the bottom.
Step 10: Pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink.
Step 11: Pale sprout
Colour the ball and the stem light green around the cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 12: Green leaves
Go over your lines, then colour the 3 leaves green, and your Brussels sprout is done!
