How to Draw a Pirate Face
Draw a pirate face in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
In the upper middle draw a big egg head, narrower at the chin, about two thirds of the page tall.
Tip Leave room above for the bandana and room on the right for its tails.
Step 2: One big eye
Below the middle of the head, on the left, draw one big oval eye with a black dot and shine.
Tip Leave the right side empty for the eye patch.
Step 3: Eye patch
Where the right eye would be, draw a round eye patch. Add a strap slanting up across the forehead.
Step 4: Nose and grin
Between the eye and patch draw a tiny U nose. Under it draw a wide grin from eye to patch.
Step 5: Ears and earring
Draw a C ear each side, starting and stopping on the head line. Hang a hoop from the left earlobe.
Step 6: Bandana
Draw a bandana over the top of the head, just outside the head line, curving back across the forehead.
Step 7: Knot and tails
At the right side of the bandana draw a small knot, with 2 flappy tails waving out from it.
Step 8: Neck and striped shirt
Draw 2 neck lines from the chin. From their ends, slope a shirt out and down. Add 3 stripes.
Tip Join the neck ends with a small collar dip, and end the shirt with a flat bottom line.
Step 9: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour pink cheeks, then the face, ears and neck peach around them. Keep the eye white and skip the patch.
Step 10: Gold hoop, red bandana
Colour the hoop earring yellow, and the bandana, knot and tails red.
Step 11: Blue stripes, black patch
Colour the top and bottom stripe bands blue, leaving the middle white. Colour the eye patch black.
