How to Draw an Animal Onesie

Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw a big egg for the head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave room above and beside the head for the hood and ears.

Step 2: The face

Below the middle draw 2 big eyes with black dots. Add a tiny U nose and a wide smile.

Step 3: Hair fringe

Start on the left of the head. Draw hair over the top, then 3 soft dips back.

Step 4: The hood

Start under the chin. Draw a big round hood up and all around the head, back to the chin.

Tip Keep a finger of space between the hood and the hair.

Step 5: Bear ears

On top of the hood draw 2 round ears, one each side. Draw a smaller curve inside each.

Step 6: Two sleeves

Start at the hood. Draw each sleeve out and down to the wrist, then up to the armpit.

Tip Each sleeve gets thinner towards the wrist. A short line closes it.

Step 7: Mitten hands

Start at each wrist. Draw a round mitten hand with a thumb bump, and stop at the wrist again.

Step 8: Body and legs

Start at each armpit. Draw the baggy side down to the ankle. Add an upside-down V between the legs.

Tip Close each ankle with a short line.

Step 9: Paw feet

Under each ankle draw a round paw foot, toes pointing out. Draw a ground line under both.

Step 10: Tummy and zip

Draw a big oval tummy patch. Under the hood draw a small zip pull and a line down from it.

Step 11: A little tail

Start on the right hip and draw a small round tail peeking out. Stop on the leg.

Step 12: Yellow and cream

Colour the hair and the zip pull yellow. Colour the tummy, the inner ears and the feet cream.

Step 13: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour 2 pink cheeks, then the face around them and the hands peach. Leave the eyes white.

Step 14: Brown bear suit

Go over your lines. Colour the hood, ears, sleeves, body, legs and tail brown, around the tummy.
