How to Draw a Pig in Mud
Draw a pig in mud in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big round head.
Step 1: Big round head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall. Leave room on the right.
Tip The head is about as big as the body is deep.
Step 2: Eyes and snout
Halfway down the head, draw 2 big oval eyes. Add a sideways oval snout with 2 nostrils, and a smile.
Step 3: Soft ears
On each top corner of the head, draw a soft triangle ear leaning out, with a smaller triangle inside.
Step 4: Mud puddle
Below the chin, draw a long low puddle, flat underneath, with a wavy top.
Tip The pig lies IN the mud: the puddle's top edge hides the legs.
Step 5: The neck
Start behind the head. Draw the back of the neck sloping down right, stopping where the back begins.
Tip The front of the neck is hidden by the head and leg.
Step 6: The body
From the neck, draw a long back to the right, round a big bottom, and down into the mud.
Tip Only the back and bottom show above the mud.
Step 7: Front trotter
Under the chin, draw a short fat leg bending forward onto the mud, with a split at the tip.
Step 8: Curly tail
On the top corner of the bottom, draw a curly tail: a short line, then a little swirl.
Step 9: The ground
From each bottom corner of the puddle, draw a short flat ground line out to the side.
Step 10: Colour it pink
Colour the pig pink, and the snout and ear insides peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Brown mud
Colour the puddle brown around the pink leg. Your pig in the mud is done!
