How to Draw a Pepper Shaker
Draw a pepper shaker in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the cap.
Step 1: The cap
Near the top, left of the middle, draw a domed cap: a round hill with a flat bottom.
Step 2: The glass
From the cap's bottom corners draw 2 straight sides down, joined by a round bottom.
Tip A tall glass, a little narrower at the top.
Step 3: Holes
On the cap's dome draw 3 small round holes, 1 at the top and 2 underneath. Colour them black.
Step 4: Cap line
Draw a line across the cap a little above its bottom for the cap's edge.
Step 5: A band
Under the cap draw a gentle curved line across the glass for the metal band.
Step 6: The pepper inside
Halfway down draw a curved line across the glass for the top of the pepper. Dot 7 peppercorns below.
Step 7: A shine
Under the band, draw a thin shine curve down the left of the glass. Stop above the pepper.
Step 8: Table and shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow round the shaker's bottom. From each end, draw the table line well out.
Step 9: Peppercorns
On the table to the right draw 3 little round peppercorns in a row, with gaps between.
Step 10: Grey pepper
Colour the pepper inside grey, going around the dots, and colour the shadow on the table grey too.
Step 11: Slate cap, sky glass
Colour the cap and band slate grey, around the holes, and the top of the glass sky blue.
Step 12: Black pepper
Colour the dots and the peppercorns black, and your pepper shaker is done!
