How to Draw a Penguin Huddle
Draw a penguin huddle in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two penguins.
Step 1: Two penguins
Draw 2 tall pear shapes that lean towards each other. Leave a gap between them.
Tip Each one is narrow at the top and fat near the bottom.
Step 2: White fronts
Inside each penguin, draw a heart at the top that runs down into a big tummy.
Tip Keep an even band all the way round.
Step 3: Eyes and beaks
In each heart, draw 2 black oval eyes with a white shine. Add a small beak below, point down.
Step 4: The chick
In the gap, low down, draw a round chick head on a plump body. Rub out the lines inside it.
Step 5: Chick's face
On the chick's head, draw a small heart. Inside it add 2 black eyes and a tiny beak.
Tip Leave a white shine in each eye.
Step 6: Paddle flippers
Draw a long flipper on the outside of each big penguin, from the shoulder. Give the chick 2 tiny ones.
Tip The inside flippers are hidden behind the chick.
Step 7: Webbed feet
Under each big penguin, draw 2 wide feet with 3 round toes.
Tip Rub out the body line inside each foot.
Step 8: Penguin at the back
Behind them, draw a tall arch for the back penguin's head. Its sides stop on the front penguins' heads.
Tip This penguin is the tallest. Only its head and shoulders show.
Step 9: Its white front
Inside the arch, draw a heart for the face. Run its sides down until they meet the front penguins.
Step 10: Another face
In the heart, draw 2 black oval eyes with a white shine and a beak, just like the others.
Step 11: Snowy day
Draw a long snow line under all the feet. Add 4 small round snowflakes in the sky.
Step 12: Orange beaks and feet
Colour all 4 beaks and all 4 feet orange.
Step 13: Grey chick
Colour the chick grey: its head, body and 2 tiny flippers. Leave its face white.
Step 14: Black coats
Colour every head, back and big flipper black. Leave the faces and tummies white.
