How to Draw a Pen
Draw a pen in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pen body.
Step 1: The pen body
Draw a tall thin box down the middle of your paper, about 3 fingers wide. Round the top corners.
Step 2: The tip
From the bottom corners draw 2 lines sloping in to a point, like an upside-down roof. That is the tip.
Step 3: 2 big eyes
On the body draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile from eye to eye. Add a small flat cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Cap band and clip
Near the top draw 2 lines across, a finger apart. Add a long thin clip down the right side.
Step 6: The grip
Near the bottom draw 2 more lines across, close together, for the grip.
Step 7: A scribble
From the tip draw a thin wavy band out to the left. Stop near the edge of your paper.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 3 small sparkle stars around the pen.
Step 9: Cheeks and sparkles
Colour the cheeks pink and the sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Blue pen
Colour the body and the scribble blue, around the cheeks. Leave the cap band, grip band and eyes white.
Step 11: Slate tip and clip
Colour the tip, the clip and the grip band slate. Your pen is done!
