How to Draw a Pedicab Tricycle
Draw a pedicab tricycle in 17 steps, about 13 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the passenger box.
Step 1: The passenger box
On the right draw a wide box with round corners. Draw a cushion line across it from front to back.
Tip Leave room on the left for the bike.
Step 2: Roof on posts
From the box top draw 2 thin posts up. Join their tops with a flat roof and bumps under it.
Step 3: Wheels and road
Draw a wheel half hidden under the box, and a BIGGER one on the left. Add hubs, spokes and road.
Step 4: Fork and handlebar
From the front hub draw a fat fork up past the wheel. Top it with a stem and a handlebar.
Step 5: Frame and chain wheel
Draw a chain wheel. Join sticks to the fork, the box and a seat post, and one across the top.
Step 6: Saddle and pedal
On the seat post draw a small saddle. From the chain wheel draw a short crank to a pedal.
Step 7: Rider's head and cap
Above the saddle draw a round head with a cap, peak to the left. Add 2 eyes and a smile.
Step 8: Neck and shirt
Under the head draw a short neck. Add a bean-shaped shirt leaning toward the handlebar, just above the saddle.
Step 9: Arm on the bar
From the shirt draw an arm, bent at the elbow, to a mitten hand round the handlebar.
Step 10: Leg and shoe
From a hip on the saddle, draw a leg bent at the knee down to a shoe on the pedal.
Step 11: The passenger
In the box draw a happy head with hair. From the cushion draw a shirt top, back to the cushion.
Step 12: A waving arm
From the passenger's far shoulder draw a bent arm up to a fist waving beside the head.
Tip Keep the fist clear of the roof and post.
Step 13: Peach faces, pink cheeks
Colour both faces, the neck and the 2 hands peach, and the cheeks pink. Leave the eyes white.
Step 14: Yellow roof, sky cushion
Colour the roof yellow, and the box sky blue above the cushion line, around the passenger.
Step 15: Orange shirt, tan trousers
Colour the rider's shirt and arm orange and the trousers tan.
Step 16: Red box, green frame
Colour the box red below the cushion line. Colour the frame, fork and cap green.
Step 17: Purple, grey and black
Colour the passenger's shirt purple, the tyres dark grey, and the hair, saddle, bar, pedal and shoe black.
