How to Draw a Cruise Ship
Draw a cruise ship in 14 steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the water.
Step 1: The water
Below the middle, start near the left edge. Draw a long wavy line across and stop near the right edge.
Step 2: Long hull
Start on the left waves. Draw a round back up, a deck across, and a bow down to the waves.
Step 3: Two long decks
Start on the deck. Draw a long box up, across and down to it. Stack a shorter one on top.
Step 4: Top deck and bridge
From the middle roof, draw a shorter deck up, across and down to it. Add a bridge with a window.
Step 5: The funnel
Start on the top roof. Draw a trumpet funnel up and back down to the roof. Add a stripe.
Step 6: Puffs of smoke
On the funnel's rim, draw a bumpy cloud like a fluffy hat. Draw a second cloud behind it, drifting back.
Step 7: Lifeboats
Along the lowest deck, hanging from the line above, draw 5 little U boats in a row.
Step 8: Railing and flag
Start on the funnel. Draw a railing forward to stop at the bridge. Add 3 posts, a mast and flag.
Step 9: Windows
Draw 7 square windows along the middle deck and 5 along the top deck, lined up in columns.
Step 10: Round portholes
Along the hull, between the deck line and the waves, draw a row of 7 big round portholes.
Step 11: Cream decks, sky windows
Colour the 3 decks and the bridge cream, leaving the lifeboats. Colour the windows and portholes sky blue.
Step 12: Orange boats, red funnel
Colour the 5 lifeboats orange. Colour the funnel and the flag red.
Step 13: Blue sea
Colour the sea blue, from the wavy line down to the bottom of the page.
Step 14: Navy hull
Colour the hull navy blue, around the portholes. Your cruise ship is ready to sail!
