How to Draw a Patio
Draw a patio in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the umbrella top.
Step 1: The umbrella top
Near the top of your paper draw a big umbrella top, like a wide hat with a bumpy bottom edge.
Step 2: Ribs and tip
Draw 4 curved lines from the point down to the dips in the edge. Add a little knob on top.
Step 3: The pole
Start under the middle of the umbrella. Draw the pole straight down, stopping just below the paper's middle.
Step 4: The table
Draw a flat oval table top on the pole. Under it, curve from one tip down to the other.
Step 5: Table stand
Start under the table's middle. Draw a thick post down to the ground. Add a flat oval foot.
Step 6: Two chairs
Draw a chair on each side: a flat seat, a tall back, and 2 legs from seat down to ground.
Step 7: Cup and flower pot
Draw a cup and a pot on the table. From the pot draw a stem up to a 5-petal flower.
Step 8: Paving and ground
Draw 2 long lines right across under the chairs and table, with short lines between them for the stones.
Step 9: The sun
Draw a round sun with 8 short rays in the top right corner.
Step 10: Red and white umbrella
Colour every other panel of the umbrella red. Leave the panels between white.
Step 11: Wooden table, yellow sun
Colour the table, its post and foot, and the chairs wood brown, and the sun yellow.
Step 12: Grey paving, pink flower
Colour the paving grey right to the bottom, the pot grey and the flower pink. Your patio is done!
