How to Draw a Park
Draw a park in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: leaves.
Step 1: Leaves
Near the top left, start at the bottom and draw a ring of 8 soft bumps back to the start.
Tip Leave the right half of the paper empty for the bench.
Step 2: Tree trunk
Start low under the leaves. Draw a trunk up into the leaves and back down, stopping level with the start.
Step 3: Bench seat
On the right, level with the bottom of the leaves, draw a long flat plank for the seat.
Step 4: Back posts and bar
From the seat top, start near each end and draw a line up, stopping a hand above. Join the tops.
Step 5: Two back slats
Between the posts draw 2 flat slats, one under the other. Start on the left post, end on the right.
Step 6: Legs and feet
Under each end of the seat, start on the seat and draw 2 short lines down to a flat foot.
Step 7: Arm rests
Start on each back post. Draw a flat arm rest out and back, then a line down to the seat.
Step 8: Ground and path
Draw a ground line edge to edge. Between tree and bench, draw 2 path lines spreading down to the bottom.
Step 9: Sun
In the top right corner draw a round sun with 8 short rays around it.
Step 10: Flower and bird
Draw a leafy stem from the ground up to a flower. Sit a bird on top of the bench.
Step 11: Yellow sun, tan path
Go over your lines. Colour the sun, the flower middle and the bird's beak yellow, and the path tan.
Step 12: Green grass, brown bench
Colour the leaves and the grass around the path green, and the trunk and the whole bench brown.
Step 13: Red flower, blue bird
Colour the flower red around its yellow middle, and the bird blue. Your park is done!
