How to Draw a Microwave
Draw a microwave in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.
Step 1: The box
In the middle of your paper draw a wide box with soft corners, much wider than it is tall.
Step 2: The door
On the left inside the box draw a big door. Draw a smaller box inside it for the glass.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the glass, a little above the middle, draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a U smile from eye to eye. Draw a small oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: The handle
Just right of the door draw a tall thin box for the handle.
Step 6: Screen and buttons
Down the right side draw a small screen, 6 round buttons and a long start button.
Step 7: Two feet
Under the box draw 2 small square feet, one near each end.
Step 8: The ground
Under the feet draw a straight ground line, starting and stopping a little past the box.
Step 9: Sparkles
Above each top corner of the box draw a little 4-point sparkle star.
Step 10: Blue screen, yellow sparkles
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkles yellow, and the screen and buttons sky blue.
Step 11: Pink cheeks, grey feet
Colour the cheeks pink, and the feet and the handle light grey.
Step 12: Dark grey box
Colour the box dark grey around the screen, buttons and handle. Leave the door and eyes white. Ready to ping!
