How to Draw a Pan
Draw a pan in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the pan.
Step 1: The pan
A little left of the middle, draw 1 big wide flat oval for the top of the pan.
Tip A pan seen from above looks like a wide oval, not a circle.
Step 2: The inside
Inside it, draw a second smaller oval, a finger in from the edge, so the pan has a thick rim.
Step 3: Two big eyes
In the middle of the pan, draw 2 big egg eyes with a big black dot and a white shine.
Step 4: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes, draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat oval cheek beside each end.
Step 5: Pan's side
Start at the oval's left end. Draw a shallow bowl down and under, stopping at the right end.
Tip A shallow U hanging off the oval.
Step 6: The handle
From the right end of the pan, draw a long thin bar out to the right, a hand long.
Tip The handle is a long thin bar stuck to the rim.
Step 7: Hole and rivets
Near the end of the handle, draw a tiny circle. Where the handle meets the pan, draw 2 tiny dots.
Step 8: Sizzle
Above the pan, draw 3 wiggly lines rising up, the middle one tallest.
Step 9: Stove line
Draw a long straight stove line under the pan, touching its bottom.
Step 10: A shadow
Draw a long flat oval shadow on the stove line, under the pan.
Step 11: Wood handle, pink cheeks
Go over your lines. Colour the handle wood brown and the cheeks pink.
Step 12: Grey pan
Colour the rim and side dark grey, the inside and shadow light grey around the eyes and cheeks. Sizzle!
Tip Leave a thin white stripe on the rim at the top left, for a shine.
