How to Draw an Orchard
Draw an orchard in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the first leafy top.
Step 1: The first leafy top
On the left half of your paper draw a big cloud of leaves with soft round bumps all round.
Step 2: The trunk
Start under the leaves. Draw 2 trunk lines down near the bottom of your paper, curving out into roots.
Step 3: Three apples
In the leaves draw 3 big round apples, 1 low each side and 1 near the top. Add short stems.
Step 4: A second tree
Start low on the right. Draw a smaller bumpy cloud up, over, back down to the start. Add a trunk.
Step 5: Its apples
Draw 3 round apples in the small tree's leaves too, each with a short stem.
Step 6: The ground
Draw a long ground line under both trunks. Add 2 tufts of grass.
Step 7: A basket
Draw a basket between the trees, a line across it, and a tall rainbow handle from corner over to corner.
Step 8: Apples in the basket
Draw 3 round apples piled in the basket: 2 peeking over the top, and 1 on top of them.
Step 9: Tan basket
Colour the basket tan, going round the apples.
Step 10: Green leaves
Colour both leafy tops leaf green, going round the apples.
Step 11: Red apples, wood trunks
Colour all the apples red and both trunks wood brown. Go over your lines and your orchard is done!
