How to Draw an Opossum Baby
Draw an opossum baby in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper draw a big soft round head, wider than tall, as big as your fist.
Tip A baby opossum is mostly head. Leave room for big ears.
Step 2: Two round ears
At the top left of the head draw a big round ear, with a smaller round inside. Do both.
Step 3: Pointed snout
From one cheek draw a V under the chin, up to the other cheek. Add a nose on its tip.
Tip Rub out the chin line inside the V.
Step 4: Eyes and whiskers
Halfway down the head draw 2 big eyes with black dots. Add 2 whiskers on each side of the snout.
Step 5: Wide body and tummy
Start under each cheek, draw a lazy C down to the bottom middle. Add an oval tummy under the snout.
Step 6: Front legs and paws
Beside the snout draw a leg getting thinner, down to a round paw with 3 toes. Do both.
Step 7: Back paws
Outside each front paw draw a small round bun paw peeking out from under the body, with 2 toe lines.
Step 8: Long bare tail
From low on the body's right side, draw a long tail along the ground, ending in a little curl.
Step 9: The ground
Start at the left edge and draw a flat ground line under the paws, across to the right edge.
Step 10: Pink and cream
Colour the ear insides, the nose and the tail pink, and the tummy patch cream. Go over your lines.
Step 11: Grey fur, dark legs
Colour the body grey around the tummy, the legs and paws dark grey, and the ears black around the pink.
Tip Leave the face and the eyes white.
