How to Draw a Goat
Draw a goat in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: round head.
Step 1: Round head
Near the top left, draw a big round head, a little wider than tall. Leave room for the body.
Step 2: Eyes and nose
Draw 2 big eyes with dots and shines. From a triangle nose, draw a line down to a w smile.
Tip Eyes go at the middle of the head. Nothing touches them.
Step 3: Banana horns
On top of the head, draw 2 banana horns that curve out, starting and stopping on the head.
Step 4: Floppy ears
From each side of the head, draw a floppy ear back to the head. Add a teardrop inside.
Step 5: The neck
From behind the head, draw a neck line sloping down right. Draw another from the chin down to the chest.
Step 6: Bean body
Start at the neck. Draw a long back, a big round bottom, and the tummy back up to the neck.
Tip A bean, not a loaf: the bottom is rounder than the chest.
Step 7: Two legs
Draw a ground line. From the chest and the bottom, draw 2 legs that narrow to hooves.
Tip A hoof is a little doorstop with a split up the middle.
Step 8: Far legs
From the tummy, draw a thin far leg peeking out behind each near leg, with a hoof on the ground.
Step 9: The tail
On the top corner of the bottom, draw a little leaf tail pointing up and back, like a small flag.
Step 10: Beard
Under the chin, draw a little pointed beard, like a small leaf hanging down.
Step 11: Colour it sand
Colour the goat sand, but not the ear insides or hooves. Colour the horns and beard stone grey.
Tip Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Ears and hooves
Colour the ear insides pink and the hooves dark grey. Go over your lines.
