How to Draw a Number 6 Snail
Draw a number 6 snail in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the number 6.
Step 1: The number 6
In the middle, draw a fat bubble 6: a curl from the top right swooping into a big round ball.
Tip The curl is the snail's neck and the round bottom is its shell!
Step 2: Two big eyes
Near the top end of the curl, draw 2 round eyes close together. Colour a big black dot in each.
Step 3: A smile
Under the eyes, draw a small U smile from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 4: Feelers
From the top of the curl, draw 2 short curved feelers going up, with a ball on each tip.
Step 5: The shell line
From under the smile, draw a curve over the top of the ball, stopping at the left side.
Step 6: The shell spiral
Inside the round shell, draw a spiral: start in the middle and go round, getting bigger, stopping before the edge.
Step 7: The foot
Draw a long flat foot under the shell, pointy at the left end and round at the right.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw 4 sparkle stars, 2 on each side of the snail, one higher and one lower.
Step 9: The floor
Start below the left sparkles. Draw a long floor line under the foot, stopping below the right ones.
Step 10: Yellow sparkles
Go over your lines. Colour the 4 sparkles yellow.
Step 11: Green snail
Colour the curl, the feeler balls and the foot green. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Ginger shell
Colour the whole shell ginger, up to the curve under the neck. Your number 6 snail is done!
