How to Draw a Faun

14 steps · Medium · about 11 min

Draw a faun in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.

Print

  1. Step 1: The head

Near the top of your paper draw an egg head, a little narrower at the chin.

Tip Leave most of the page below for the tunic and furry legs.

  2. Step 2: Face and pointed ears

Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. Start on each side, draw a pointy ear, stop on the head.

  3. Step 3: Curly hair and horns

Start on the left by the eyebrows. Draw round tufts over the top, stop on the right. Add 2 horns.

  4. Step 4: Neck and tunic

Start under the chin, draw 2 neck lines and stop. Add a V-neck tunic with sleeves and a wavy hem.

  5. Step 5: 2 arms

From each sleeve draw an arm reaching down and in to the tummy. Make it thinner towards the wrist.

Tip Both arms match, like a mirror.

  6. Step 6: 2 fists

On the end of each arm draw a round fist with a little thumb bump on top.

  7. Step 7: Pan pipes

Between the fists draw 5 pipes side by side. The tops are level, and each pipe is shorter.

Tip Pan pipes go down like stairs, from the long pipe to the short one.

  8. Step 8: Furry goat legs

Under the tunic draw 2 shaggy legs: 3 fur bumps down each outside, thinner at the bottom.

Tip Leave a gap between the legs.

  9. Step 9: Hooves and ground

Under each leg draw a wedge hoof with a short line up the middle. Draw a ground line under them.

  10. Step 10: Peach skin, pink cheeks

Colour the cheeks pink, then the face, ears, neck, arms and fists peach around them. Leave the eyes white.

  11. Step 11: Tan horns and pipes

Colour the 2 horns and the pan pipes tan.

  12. Step 12: Green tunic

Colour the tunic and both sleeves green, around the arms, the fists and the pipes.

  13. Step 13: Brown fur and hair

Colour the curly hair and the 2 furry legs brown.

  14. Step 14: Grey hooves

Colour the 2 hooves grey and go over your lines. Your faun is done!
