How to Draw a Number 1
Draw a number 1 in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the big 1.
Step 1: The big 1
Draw a big fat bubble 1: a tall stem with a short flag, standing on a fat bar.
Tip Bubble numbers are fat and rounded, like balloons.
Step 2: 2 big eyes
Down the stem, just below the flag, draw 2 round eyes side by side.
Step 3: Black pupils
Colour a big black dot in each eye. Leave a tiny white shine in each dot.
Step 4: A smile
Under the eyes draw a small U smile, from under the left eye to under the right eye.
Step 5: Sparkles on the left
On the left of the 1 draw 2 sparkle stars, one higher and one lower.
Step 6: Sparkles on the right
Draw 2 more sparkle stars on the right to match.
Step 7: The floor
Draw a floor line under the 1 from left to right.
Step 8: A shadow
Draw a flat oval shadow on the floor under the 1. Rub out the floor line inside it.
Step 9: Yellow sparkles, grey shadow
Go over your lines, then colour the sparkles yellow and the shadow grey.
Step 10: Leaf green number 1
Colour the 1 leaf green, going round the face and leaving the eyes white. Your number 1 is done!
