How to Draw a Kicking Ninja
Draw a kicking ninja in 14 easy steps, about 11 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, a little left of the middle, draw an egg head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room on the right for the kicking leg.
Step 2: Big eyes
Just below the middle draw 2 round eyes, a gap apart, each with a black dot and a shine.
Step 3: Hood opening
Around the eyes draw a long rounded opening, not touching the head line. The rest is the hood.
Tip The hood covers the nose and mouth, so only the eyes show.
Step 4: Headband
Above the opening draw a headband from side to side, 2 curves thick. Add 2 flapping tails on the right.
Step 5: Neck and suit
Draw 2 neck lines. From the left one draw a shoulder, side and flat bottom, up to the right one.
Step 6: Guard arm
From the left shoulder draw a sleeve bent up at the elbow, back to the side. Add a round fist.
Tip The fist is up beside the chin, on guard.
Step 7: Punching arm
From the right shoulder draw a sleeve straight out, back to the side. Add a round fist on its end.
Step 8: Belt
Draw a line across the suit just above its bottom, side to side. Add a round knot in the middle.
Step 9: Standing leg
From the suit's left corner draw a leg straight down, across the ankle, and back up to the suit.
Step 10: Kicking leg
Start on the standing leg near the top. Draw a leg kicking out right, back to the suit's right corner.
Tip Bend it a little at the knee.
Step 11: Shoes and zoom lines
Draw a shoe on each leg, toes pointing out and up. Add the ground line and 3 zoom lines.
Step 12: Peach skin
Colour the skin inside the opening and both fists peach. Leave the eyes white.
Step 13: Red headband and belt
Colour the headband, its tails, the belt and the knot red.
Step 14: Grey suit, black shoes
Colour the hood, neck, suit, sleeves and legs dark grey around the red and peach. Colour the shoes black.
