How to Draw a Miner
Draw a miner in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw an egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for the body and legs.
Step 2: The face
Draw 2 eyes, a nose and a smile. Start a C ear on each side, ending on the head.
Step 3: Helmet with a lamp
Start above the left eye. Draw a helmet over the top to the right. Add a brim and lamp.
Step 4: Neck and T-shirt
Draw 2 short neck lines. From the left one draw a T-shirt with short sleeves, up to the right one.
Step 5: Overalls
From the shirt's bottom draw overalls: a bib up to the chest, then down both legs with a point between.
Step 6: Straps and buttons
From each top corner of the bib draw a strap up to the shoulder. Add a round button on each.
Step 7: Arms
From the right sleeve draw an arm down to the wrist. From the left sleeve draw an arm bent in.
Step 8: Mitten hands
On the right draw a mitten hanging down. On the left draw a mitten pointing in, with a thumb bump.
Step 9: Pickaxe
From the left mitten slant a fat handle up past the shoulder. Add a curved pick with 2 points.
Step 10: Boots and ground
Under each leg draw a tall boot with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the boots.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the face, ears, neck, arms and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Orange helmet, yellow shirt
Colour the helmet orange, the lamp yellow, and the shirt and sleeves yellow too.
Step 13: Brown overalls, grey pickaxe
Colour the overalls, straps and handle brown, the pick grey and the boots black. Go over your lines.

Your finished drawing
Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a miner, drawn by you.
