How to Draw a Mulberry
Draw a mulberry in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the twig.
Step 1: The twig
Near the top of your paper draw a twig of 2 lines close together, nearly from edge to edge.
Step 2: Cap and stem
Left of the middle, under the twig, draw a flat bow-tie cap, with a short stem up to the twig.
Step 3: The big berry
Under the cap draw a long berry, much taller than wide, with soft round bumps all round its edge.
Step 4: Berry bumps
Inside the berry draw 6 little upside-down U curves, spread out in a zigzag, for the round bumps.
Step 5: A second stem
To the right draw another short stem down from the twig, with a smaller bow-tie cap on its end.
Step 6: The small berry
Under the small cap draw a smaller bumpy berry the same way, with 3 little upside-down U curves inside.
Step 7: 2 leaves
On the twig's left draw a short stalk and a toothed heart leaf hanging down. Add one pointing up right.
Step 8: Leaf veins
Start where each stalk meets its leaf and draw one curved vein towards the tip, stopping short.
Step 9: Shines
On the upper left of each berry draw a thin curved sliver for a shine.
Step 10: Green leaves, brown twig
Go over your lines, then colour the leaves, leaf stalks and caps green, and the twig and stems brown.
Step 11: Purple berries
Colour both berries purple, leaving the shines white. Your mulberry is done!
