How to Draw a Moped

11 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a moped in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: two little wheels.

Print

  1. Step 1: Two little wheels

Low on your paper draw 2 wheels the same size, a wide gap apart. Give each a rim and hub.

Tip Each wheel is only about as big as your fist.

  2. Step 2: Front fender

Over the front wheel draw a fat rainbow band, a finger out from the tyre, arching over the top.

Tip Only the front wheel gets a fender.

  3. Step 3: Big headlight

High above the front fender draw a big circle for the headlight, with a smaller circle inside for the glass.

  4. Step 4: Fat fork

From a short flat line above the headlight, slant 2 lines down behind it to the front hub.

  5. Step 5: Leg shield and floorboard

From the fork draw a tall curved panel sweeping down like a banana. From its bottom draw a plank back.

Tip You stand on the board, no tank to climb over: that makes a moped.

  6. Step 6: Rear body and seat

From the back of the floorboard draw a round hump over the back wheel. Add a long seat on top.

  7. Step 7: Exhaust pipe

Under the hump draw one fat pipe: start under the floorboard's end, run back downhill, stop on the back tyre.

  8. Step 8: Handlebar and mirror

Across the fork's top draw a flat bar with round ends. Add a stalk up to a round mirror.

  9. Step 9: The road

Under both wheels draw a long straight road line, wider than the moped on both sides.

  10. Step 10: Grey metal, yellow light

Colour the fork, floorboard, pipe, handlebar, mirror, lamp ring, rims and hubs grey, the glass yellow, leaving a white shine.

  11. Step 11: Red body, black tyres

Colour the leg shield, body and fender red, the seat black, and the tyres black around the rims.
