How to Draw Monkey Bread
Draw monkey bread in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
A little below the middle, draw a big flat oval plate, nearly as wide as your paper.
Step 2: Rim and table
Draw a second oval just inside the plate for the rim. Add a table line touching the plate's bottom.
Step 3: Bottom row
On the plate, draw a round dough ball in the middle. Add 2 more each side, tucked behind it.
Tip Monkey bread is lots of dough balls baked together.
Step 4: Top row
On top, draw 4 more balls, each one sitting in a dip between 2 balls below.
Step 5: Sticky glaze
Over the top balls, draw a wide flat oval of glaze. Give its front edge 4 soft bumps.
Tip One bump over each ball. Rub out the ball lines inside the glaze.
Step 6: Drips
Under 3 of the bumps, draw a U drip running down the ball. Each starts and stops on the bump.
Tip Make every drip a different length.
Step 7: The hole
In the middle of the glaze, near the top, draw a wide flat oval for the hole.
Step 8: Sky plate
Go over your lines. Colour the plate sky blue, around the bread.
Step 9: Tan dough balls
Colour all the dough balls tan, around the glaze and the drips.
Step 10: Golden glaze
Colour the glaze and the drips ginger, a golden brown, around the hole.
Step 11: Brown hole
Colour inside the hole dark brown. Your monkey bread is done!
