How to Draw a Mom
Draw a mom in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: egg head.
Step 1: Egg head
Near the top of your paper, in the middle, draw a small egg for the head, narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave most of the page below for a long dress and legs.
Step 2: Face
Draw 2 round eyes with black dots and a tiny lash on each. Add a nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Hair and fringe
Start beside the left eye. Draw hair over the head to the right, then a side-swept fringe back.
Step 4: Long hair
On each side of the head draw long hair falling down past the cheek to the shoulder.
Step 5: Neck and dress
Draw 2 neck lines under the chin. From the left line draw a wide dress round to the right line.
Step 6: Belt and necklace
Draw 2 lines across the waist for a belt. Hang a necklace from the collar with a round bead.
Step 7: Arms
From each sleeve draw 2 lines down to the wrist, bending gently at the elbow, narrower at the wrist.
Step 8: Mitten hands
Start on each arm's outer line, draw a round mitten with a thumb bump, and stop on the inner line.
Step 9: Legs
Start on the hem. Draw 2 lines down for each leg, getting closer, stopping above the bottom.
Step 10: Shoes and ground
Under each leg draw a shoe with the toe pointing out. Draw a long ground line under the shoes.
Step 11: Peach skin, pink cheeks
Colour the cheeks pink, then the face, neck, arms, hands and legs peach around them. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red belt and shoes
Colour the belt, the bead and the shoes red.
Step 13: Teal dress, brown hair
Colour the dress teal around the belt and bead, and the hair brown. Go over your lines.
