How to Draw a Meteor Shower
Draw a meteor shower in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big star.
Step 1: Big star
High on the right, draw one big 5-point star, as big as your fist.
Step 2: Happy face
In the middle of the star, draw 2 round black eyes with shines. Add a small U smile under them.
Step 3: Long tail
Start between the star's top and right points. Draw a long streak up to a sharp point and back to the star.
Step 4: Three little meteors
Draw 3 small 5-point stars falling with the big one: left, middle and low right.
Step 5: Little tails
Give each little star a thin pointed tail, streaking up to the right like the big one.
Tip All 4 tails point the same way.
Step 6: Sparkles
In the gaps of the sky draw 4 tiny sparkles, each with 4 sharp points.
Step 7: The ground
Draw a long straight ground line near the bottom, from edge to edge.
Step 8: Sleeping hill
Start on the ground line near the left end. Draw a wide soft hill and stop near the right end.
Step 9: Two pine trees
Above each side of the hill draw a zigzag pine tree. Add a short trunk down to the hill.
Step 10: Yellow stars
Colour the big star, the 3 little stars and the 4 sparkles yellow, going around the face.
Step 11: Orange tails
Colour all 4 tails orange, the big one and the 3 little ones.
Step 12: Green trees
Colour the 2 pine trees green and their trunks brown.
Step 13: Navy hill
Colour the hill navy, like a dark night.
