How to Draw Heart Balloons
Draw heart balloons in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: front heart.
Step 1: Front heart
Above the middle of your paper draw one big heart balloon: 2 humps on top, a point at the bottom.
Step 2: The knot
Under the point of the heart draw a tiny triangle knot, pointing down, touching the point.
Step 3: Happy face
In the middle draw 2 big eyes. Start under the left eye, draw a U smile, stop under the right.
Step 4: Heart behind left
Up and to the left draw a smaller heart balloon peeking out from behind, with its own tiny knot.
Step 5: Heart behind right
Do the same up and to the right: a third smaller heart behind the first, with a tiny knot.
Step 6: Three strings
From each knot draw a string curving down. Stop where all 3 meet, low on the paper.
Step 7: Tied together
Where the strings meet draw a small round tie and colour it black. Hang a wiggly string end from it.
Step 8: Shines
On the upper left hump of each heart draw a short curved shine line.
Step 9: Peach cheeks
Colour the cheeks peach.
Step 10: Pink and purple hearts
Colour the left heart pink and the right heart purple, with their knots.
Step 11: Red heart
Colour the front heart and its knot red, around the cheeks. Leave the eyes white. Go over your lines.
