How to Draw a Mech Suit
Draw a mech suit in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: body box and light.
Step 1: Body box and light
Draw a big round-cornered box for the body. From its top draw a little rainbow light, back down to it.
Tip Leave room each side for big arms and below for the legs.
Step 2: Cockpit window
Inside the top half of the body draw a smaller round-cornered box for the window.
Step 3: The pilot
Inside the window draw a small egg for the pilot's head. Add 2 small round eyes and a little smile.
Tip Give the pilot a cap of hair with 2 bumps on top.
Step 4: Shoulder pads
On each top corner of the body draw a round-cornered box sticking out to the side.
Step 5: Box arms
From under each pad draw a thick arm down, across and back up to the pad, with an elbow line.
Step 6: Big fists
Under each arm draw a big round-cornered box for a fist, wider than the arm, with 2 finger lines.
Step 7: Box legs
From the body draw 2 thick legs a gap apart, down and back up to the body, with knee lines.
Step 8: Big boots and ground
Under each leg draw a long low box boot, wider than the leg. Draw a ground line under the boots.
Step 9: Air vents
Under the window draw 3 short lines across for the vents.
Step 10: Face and hair
Colour the pilot's face peach and the hair yellow. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Sky window
Colour the window sky blue, around the pilot.
Step 12: Grey metal, red light
Go over your lines. Colour the whole suit grey around the window, then the dome light red. Ready to stomp!
