How to Draw a Meatloaf
Draw a meatloaf in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: a plate.
Step 1: A plate
Low on your paper draw a big flat oval plate. Add a smaller oval inside it for the rim.
Step 2: The loaf
On the back left of the plate draw a low loaf with round corners. Rub out the plate lines inside.
Tip Keep it long and low, like a brick, so it does not look like a cake.
Step 3: The glaze drips
Start high on the loaf's left side. Draw a wavy line with 3 soft drips across to the right side.
Step 4: A slice
In front of the loaf's right end draw a slice lying flat: a low rounded slab, much wider than tall.
Tip The slice lies down flat. It does not stand up.
Step 5: Glaze on the slice
Along the top of the slice draw a line a little inside it, end to end, for the glaze.
Step 6: Peas
On the plate in front of the loaf, at the left, draw 4 little round peas in a bunch.
Step 7: Steam and table
Above the loaf draw 2 wiggly steam lines. Draw a table line under the plate, a little wider than it.
Step 8: Sky blue plate
Go over your lines, then colour the plate sky blue, going around the loaf, the slice and the peas.
Step 9: Green peas, red glaze
Colour the peas green. Colour the glaze on the loaf and on the slice red.
Step 10: Brown meatloaf
Colour the rest of the loaf and the slice brown, around the red drips. Your meatloaf is done!
