How to Draw Afternoon Tea
Draw afternoon tea in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the bottom plate.
Step 1: The bottom plate
Below the middle, a little to the left, draw a wide flat oval for the bottom plate.
Tip Afternoon tea comes on a tall stand with 3 plates.
Step 2: 2 more plates
Above it draw a smaller flat oval, and a smaller one again near the top, all lined up.
Step 3: The stand
Join the plates with a thin post of 2 lines, from an oval foot to a round knob.
Step 4: Sandwiches
On the bottom plate draw 3 little triangle sandwiches standing up, points up, the big one in the middle.
Step 5: Fillings
Draw a line across each sandwich near the bottom for the filling.
Step 6: Scones
On the middle plate draw 2 thick rounded scones, a bigger one left. Add a dab of jam on each.
Step 7: Cupcakes
On the top plate draw 2 tiny cupcakes: a little cup, narrower at the bottom, with a round top.
Step 8: A teacup
On the right draw a small oval rim. From its ends draw a round cup, a handle and saucer.
Step 9: The table
Draw a table line under the foot and the saucer from well left to well right.
Step 10: Cream cups, tan sandwiches
Go over your lines. Leave the stand white, then colour the cupcake cups cream and the sandwiches tan.
Step 11: Pink tops
Colour the round cupcake tops pink.
Step 12: Ginger scones, red jam
Colour the scones ginger and the jam dabs red.
Step 13: Blue teacup
Colour the tea light brown, then the teacup and saucer blue, and your afternoon tea is ready!
