How to Draw a Unity Cup
Draw a unity cup in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the rim.
Step 1: The rim
Near the top draw a flat oval rim. Under it draw a smile from one end across to the other.
Step 2: The big bowl
Start at the bottom left of the lip. Draw a big chubby bowl down and up to the bottom right.
Tip Lean in like a tulip; the bowl is as tall as it is wide.
Step 3: Two big eyes
Draw 2 big egg eyes on the bowl, below the lip. Add a black dot and a shine in each.
Step 4: The collar
Under the bowl, start left of the middle. Draw a short collar down and across, stopping right of the middle.
Tip Like a little neck under the bowl.
Step 5: The stem
Start at each bottom corner of the collar. Draw a gentle S down, flaring out, and stop near the bottom.
Tip Thin at the top, wide at the feet, like a wine glass.
Step 6: One round foot
Under the stem draw a wide flat foot, like a bowed lid with soft corners, wider than anything above it.
Step 7: Smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a wide U smile. Add a small flat cheek beside each end, well inside the bowl.
Step 8: A carved ring
Low on the bowl, under the smile, draw a curved line across from wall to wall.
Step 9: Shine and a sparkle
Under the lip near the left wall draw 1 short curved shine. Add a big sparkle in the top right.
Step 10: Ground and sparkle
Draw a ground line out from both bottom corners of the foot. Add a smaller sparkle left of the stem.
Step 11: Cream top, pink cheeks
Colour the oval on top cream so the cup looks open. Colour the cheeks pink and leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Brown cup, dark foot
Colour the cup wood brown around the eyes, cheeks and shine, then the foot dark brown. Your cup is ready!
