How to Draw a Key Ring
Draw a key ring in 11 steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the hook.
Step 1: The hook
At the top middle draw a small flat plate with a little curled hook hanging under it, like a J.
Step 2: The ring
Hanging on the hook draw a round ring: 2 circles, one just inside the other, the hook through the top.
Step 3: Tag and face
Right of the ring draw a box tag with 2 big egg eyes, a U smile and 2 oval cheeks.
Tip Colour a black dot in each eye, leaving a white shine.
Step 4: The chain
Draw a hole in the tag's corner, then 3 donut links from the ring, the last looping through it.
Step 5: First key
Hang a key under the ring: a round head tucked behind the ring, a hole and a long shaft.
Tip Rub out the lines behind the ring, so only the bottom of the hole shows.
Step 6: 2 more keys
Hang 2 more keys the same way: a square-head key down-left and a clover-head key down-right.
Step 7: The teeth
On the lower part of each shaft draw 3 little square teeth sticking out on the outside, different widths.
Step 8: Sparkles
Draw a few little 4-point sparkles around it to make it shine.
Step 9: Yellow key
Go over your lines, then colour the round-head key and the sparkles yellow.
Step 10: Sky blue tag
Colour the cheeks pink, then the tag sky blue around them, leaving the eyes and the hole white.
Step 11: Grey ring, slate key
Colour the ring, plate, chain and square key grey, and the clover key slate. Your key ring is done!

Follow the steps above and this is where you end up: a key ring, drawn by you.
