How to Draw a Mango

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a mango in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the mango.

Print

  1. Step 1: The mango

Draw a big fat bean lying down, tipped up on the left, with a soft point at the right end.

Tip A mango is round underneath and flatter on top.

  2. Step 2: The stem

Start on the top left of the mango and draw a short, thick stem poking up: 2 lines close together.

  3. Step 3: A leaf

From the stem tip draw a long leaf pointing up and right. Add a middle line, stopping before the tip.

  4. Step 4: A shine

Inside the top right edge of the mango draw a short curved line that follows the edge, for a shine.

  5. Step 5: Blush line

Start on the top edge just right of the stem. Draw a soft curve down to the left edge.

  6. Step 6: A shadow

Under the mango draw a flat thin oval, with the mango's bottom touching the middle of it.

  7. Step 7: The ground

From each end of the shadow draw a straight line out to the side for the ground.

  8. Step 8: Yellow mango

Go over your lines, then colour the mango yellow up to the blush line.

  9. Step 9: Red blush, brown stem

Colour the stem end past the blush line red, and colour the stem brown.

  10. Step 10: Green leaf, grey shadow

Colour the leaf green and the shadow grey.
