How to Draw a Pineapple with a Face

Draw a pineapple with a face in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tall egg body.

Step 1: Tall egg body
Draw a tall egg, bigger than your fist and fattest below the middle. Leave lots of room above for leaves.
Tip Tall like a barrel, not round like a ball.
Step 2: Two big eyes
Near the middle draw 2 big egg eyes. Colour a big black dot in each, leaving a white shine.
Step 3: Open smile and cheeks
Under the eyes draw a big open mouth: a flat line with a U under it. Add 2 cheeks.
Step 4: Tall middle leaf
Start on top of the egg, left of the middle. Draw a tall fat leaf, stop right of the middle.
Step 5: Two side leaves
Start on the egg top beside the middle leaf. Draw a shorter fat leaf curving out to the middle leaf.
Step 6: Two outer leaves
Start on the egg shoulder beside each side leaf. Draw a shorter fat leaf and stop on the side leaf.
Tip Now the crown fans out like a fountain: 5 fat leaves.
Step 7: Slanting lines
Above the face and below the mouth draw slanting lines down to the right. Keep off the face.
Step 8: Criss-cross diamonds
Now draw slanting lines down to the left across the same patches, meeting the first lines in neat points.
Step 9: Arms and feet
From each side draw a short arm down and out to a mitten hand. Add 2 bean feet underneath.
Step 10: The ground
Draw a ground line under the feet, along their flat bottoms.
Step 11: Yellow pineapple
Colour the pineapple, arms and feet yellow, around the mouth and cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 12: Red mouth, pink cheeks
Colour the inside of the mouth red and the cheeks pink.
Step 13: Green leaves
Colour all 5 leaves green, then go over all your lines. Your pineapple pal is done!
