How to Draw a Magic Wand
Draw a magic wand in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big star.
Step 1: Big star
Near the top, draw 1 really big 5-pointed star, as wide as your hand. Rub out the lines inside.
Tip Draw the star BIG: it is the magic end and it has a face.
Step 2: Stick and knob
From under the star, draw 2 lines slanting down to the left, a finger apart, ending in a knob.
Step 3: Happy face
Inside the star, draw 2 big round eyes, a little apart, with black dots. Add a U smile under them.
Step 4: Rosy cheeks
Draw a small oval cheek just below each end of the smile, inside the star.
Step 5: Candy stripes
Across the stick, draw 3 slanted stripes, evenly spaced, each 2 slanting lines from side to side.
Step 6: Sparkles
Around the star, draw 3 four-point sparkles: one up left, one up right and a small one lower right.
Step 7: Magic swirl
A finger below the star's right point, draw a spiral, round and round, smaller each time, ending in the middle.
Tip A spiral is a snail shell: round and round, tighter each time.
Step 8: Yellow star
Colour the star and the 3 sparkles yellow, around the cheeks, leaving the eyes white.
Step 9: Pink stripes and cheeks
Colour the 3 stripes and the 2 cheeks pink.
Step 10: Purple stick
Colour the stick and knob purple, going around the stripes. Go over your lines and your wand is done!
