How to Draw a Lunchbox

12 steps · Medium · about 9 min

Draw a lunchbox in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the box.

Print

  1. Step 1: The box

In the middle, draw a big wide box with soft corners, wider than it is tall.

  2. Step 2: Lid line

Draw a line straight across the box, a little above the middle, where the lid opens.

  3. Step 3: The handle

Start on the top edge. Draw a handle arch up and stop back on the top. Add an arch inside.

  4. Step 4: The latch

On the lid line, in the middle, draw a small box across the line with a short line through it.

  5. Step 5: Hinges

On the lid line, draw a tiny box near the left edge and one near the right edge.

  6. Step 6: Apple sticker

Low on the left of the box, draw a round apple sticker with a tiny stem and leaf.

  7. Step 7: Star sticker

Low on the right, draw a star sticker with 5 points.

  8. Step 8: Ground line

Start left of the box and draw a long flat ground line under it, stopping past the right side.

  9. Step 9: Latch and star

Colour the latch, the 2 hinges and the star sticker yellow.

  10. Step 10: Sky blue lid

Colour the lid and the handle sky blue, around the latch and hinges.

  11. Step 11: Green apple

Colour the apple sticker and its leaf green.

  12. Step 12: Red lunchbox

Go over your lines. Colour the bottom red, around the apple, star, latch and hinges. Your lunchbox is ready!
