How to Draw a Lunch Lady
Draw a lunch lady in 16 steps, about 12 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Near the top, in the middle, draw an egg for the head. Make it a little narrower at the chin.
Tip Leave room below for the serving counter.
Step 2: The face
On the middle of the head, draw 2 round eyes with shines. Add a U nose, a smile and eyebrows.
Step 3: Curly hair
Start by the left eyebrow. Draw round curls over the top, stopping on the right. Add a curved hairline.
Step 4: The hairnet
Draw a band just above the hairline, from side to side. Add 4 net lines across the curls.
Step 5: Neck and top
Start under the chin with 2 neck lines. Draw a top with short sleeves, down to the hem.
Step 6: The apron
Draw an apron from the chest down to the hem. Add 2 straps up to the neck.
Step 7: Arms
From each sleeve, draw a bent arm. Go down to the elbow, then in across the tummy to the wrist.
Step 8: Hands
On each wrist, draw a fist like a fat egg. Add a thumb bump and a curved line for fingers.
Step 9: Scoop
Start behind the right fist. Draw a thin handle going up and stop at a round cup on top.
Tip Keep the scoop below the chin, never over the face.
Step 10: Counter and ground
Draw a long flat counter in front of her tummy. Add 2 legs from its ends down to the ground.
Step 11: The tray
On the counter's right, draw a long flat tray. Put a mound of mash and a round roll on it.
Step 12: The plate
On the counter's left, draw a flat plate. Pile 4 little round peas on it.
Step 13: Peach skin
Colour the face, neck, arms and hands peach, with pink cheeks. Leave the eyes white.
Step 14: Yellow mash, blue top
Colour the mash yellow, and the tray and her top sky blue around the arms. Leave the apron white.
Step 15: Brown hair and counter
Colour the hair, the roll and the counter light brown.
Step 16: Green peas
Colour the peas green, leaving the plate and scoop white, and your lunch lady is done!
