How to Draw a Lucha Mask
Draw a lucha mask in 11 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
In the middle of your paper, draw a big egg for the whole head mask.
Step 2: Big eye holes
Above the middle, draw 2 big rounded eye holes, leaving a wide band of mask round them.
Step 3: Eyes in the holes
Colour a big black dot filling most of each eye hole, leaving a white shine top-left.
Step 4: Grinning mouth hole
Low on the face, draw a wide grinning mouth hole: a straight top and a big U. Add a tongue.
Step 5: Nose hole
Between the eye holes and the mouth hole draw a small soft triangle pointing down for the nose hole.
Step 6: Lightning flash
On the forehead, draw a lightning flash zigzagging down to a point between the eye holes, and back up.
Step 7: Flame trim
Round each eye hole, draw a trim with 3 flame points sweeping up and out, and one round the mouth.
Step 8: Ground line
Draw a ground line under the mask from left to right, just touching the chin.
Step 9: Sparkles
Draw 4 little sparkle stars round the mask, 2 on each side, not touching it.
Step 10: Yellow and peach
Colour the sparkles, trim and flash yellow, the nose and mouth peach around the tongue. Leave the eyes white.
Step 11: Pink and red
Colour the tongue pink and the mask red, around the eyes, trim, flash, nose and mouth. Your mask is done!
