How to Draw a Lizard Face
Draw a lizard face in 9 easy steps, about 7 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the head.
Step 1: The head
Draw a long, low wedge head with a pointed snout on the left and a round back.
Step 2: Big eye
In the front half of the head draw one big round eye with a black dot and a white shine.
Step 3: Smile and jaw
From the snout draw a long smile ending behind the eye, then curve down to the bottom of the head.
Step 4: Forked tongue
From the snout draw a thin tongue flicking out left, splitting into 2 little points like a Y.
Step 5: Pointy spikes
Along the top of the head draw 4 small triangle spikes, from above the eye to the back.
Step 6: Tiny nostril
Draw a tiny oval nostril near the tip of the snout.
Step 7: Scales
On the cheek behind the eye draw 3 little U-shaped scales in a slanting row.
Step 8: Yellow jaw, red tongue
Colour the jaw under the smile yellow, and the tongue red.
Step 9: Colour the lizard teal
Colour the head and the spikes teal, around the yellow jaw, leaving the eye white.
