How to Draw a Lifeguard Tower
Draw a lifeguard tower in 12 easy steps, about 9 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: the hut.
Step 1: The hut
In the upper middle, draw a wide box for the hut. Add a flat roof sticking out on both sides.
Tip The hut is high up so the lifeguard can see the whole beach.
Step 2: Window and door
On the hut, draw a wide window on the right and a tall narrow door on the left.
Step 3: The deck
Under the hut, draw a flat deck slab as wide as the roof.
Step 4: Tall legs
From under the deck, draw 2 tall legs straight down to the ground, one near each end.
Step 5: Cross brace
Between the legs, draw 2 slanted lines crossing in an X.
Step 6: Ladder
Start at the right end of the deck. Draw 2 long slanted lines down and stop on the ground.
Step 7: Rungs
Draw 4 short lines across the ladder, evenly spaced, for the rungs.
Step 8: Flag
On top of the roof, draw a flagpole straight up with a little pointed flag on it.
Step 9: Sand
Start at the left edge and draw a flat sand line under the legs and ladder to the right edge.
Step 10: Sky and sand
Colour the window sky blue and the sand sandy, down to the bottom edge. Leave the door and flagpole white.
Step 11: Red roof and flag
Colour the roof red and the flag red.
Step 12: Wood hut
Colour the hut and deck light brown, around the window and door, and the legs dark brown. Safe swimming!
