How to Draw a Leprechaun Trap

10 steps · Medium · about 8 min

Draw a leprechaun trap in 10 easy steps, about 8 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.

Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: tilted box.

Print

  1. Step 1: Tilted box

On the left of your paper, draw a box tipped up on one corner, leaning up to the right.

Tip When the leprechaun grabs the coin, the box falls!

  2. Step 2: Happy face

On the box, draw 2 big egg eyes with dots and shines, a U smile and 2 tiny cheeks.

  3. Step 3: Tape stripe

Near the lifted end of the box, draw 2 lines close together across it, top edge to bottom edge.

  4. Step 4: The stick

From the lifted corner of the box, draw a short stick slanting down to the ground, holding the box up.

  5. Step 5: Gold coins

Under the box, draw a coin with a circle just inside its edge. Add 2 more coins to the right.

  6. Step 6: Lucky shamrock

At the low end of the box, draw 3 heart leaves that meet. Add a short stem from the middle.

  7. Step 7: Ground and sparkles

Draw a ground line under everything. Add a sparkle above the box and one by the far coin.

  8. Step 8: Tan box, wood stick

Colour the box tan around the cheeks and shamrock, and the stick wood brown. Leave the eyes white.

  9. Step 9: Yellow coins and sparkles

Colour all the coins and the sparkles yellow.

  10. Step 10: Green shamrock, pink cheeks

Colour the shamrock green and the cheeks pink. Your trap is set!
