How to Draw a Lemur
Draw a lemur in 13 easy steps, about 10 minutes. Free, with a printable worksheet.
Each picture adds one red line. Draw that line, then scroll to the next picture. Rub out any dashed helper lines at the end. First up: big head.
Step 1: Big head
Near the top, draw a big head, round on top, with a fur point on each cheek and a snout.
Tip The head is widest at the cheek points. Leave room on the right for the tail.
Step 2: White face
Start on the left side of the head. Draw 2 bumps with a V between, ending on the right side.
Tip The grey fur comes down to a point between the eyes.
Step 3: Eye patches and eyes
Under the bumps, draw 2 teardrops pointing to the snout. Add a big eye, dot and shine in each.
Step 4: Pointy ears
High on each side of the head, draw a pointy ear leaning out. Add a smaller triangle inside.
Step 5: Nose and smile
Near the bottom of the snout, draw a black nose. From its tip, draw a small w smile.
Step 6: Round body
Start on the left cheek. Draw a big C down and along the bottom, up to the right cheek.
Tip The body is narrower than the head.
Step 7: Front legs
Below the chin, draw 2 legs, thinner at the ankle, into fat mitten paws. Add toe lines.
Step 8: Back legs
On each side, draw a bun back paw with a plump C leg above it. Add a ground line.
Step 9: Long tail
Start behind the right back leg. Draw a long tail sweeping out and up, curling in to a round tip.
Tip The tail is as long as the whole lemur and gets a little thinner toward the tip.
Step 10: Tail rings
Draw 7 short lines across the tail, from edge to edge, evenly spaced all the way up.
Step 11: Orange eyes, cream ears
Colour the eyes orange around the black dots. Colour the inside of each ear cream.
Step 12: Grey fur
Colour the top of the head, the ears, body and legs grey. Leave the face and the tail white.
Step 13: Black patches and rings
Colour the eye patches black around the eyes. Colour every other tail band black, ending with the tip.
Tip Start with the second band from the body, so the tail goes white, black, white, black.
